Working on this project was an unforgettable experience that helped me grow both as a person and as a professional. The vast amount of material, the sensitivity of its content, and the challenges of bridging distances—both linguistic and geographical—made In Her Hands a beautiful, demanding, and monumental journey.
Our team was spread across Afghanistan, Australia, the USA, the UK, Russia, and Spain, working together towards a common goal. Helping Marcel and Tamana create space for Zarifa's voice was both an incredibly challenging and deeply rewarding task that spanned more than two years, as we worked in parallel to the shoot receiving 1800+ hours of footage. I am truly grateful to have been part of the editing team alongside Stephen Ellis (Oscar-nominated editor) and Philipp Gromov.
