Children of the Taliban was a challenge similar to In Her Hands in terms of complexity, the sheer volume of material, and the globally connected nature of the team—spanning Afghanistan, Spain, the USA, and Australia. Working with Marcel and Stephen again was a pleasure, as we had already developed a well-oiled system from our previous film and understood each other effortlessly.

This film, in particular, was emotionally challenging due to its subject matter—childhood in Afghanistan. There were moments of tears and laughter, but above all, there was immense tenderness and innocence. Continuing to be part of projects that shed light on important stories is what fulfills me the most.
